Tomorrow is my first Sunday speaking at Cypress Creek in 2010. It will be a fun day, one of those “new beginning” messages that are in so many churches during the first part of the year.

As I was puting the finishing touches on the message for tomorrow, I worried for minute or two that what I was preparing was a tired message, one that everyone had already heard. Everyone knows God has new beginnings for them, right? Then I ran across a video from my friend Carlos Whittaker that he made in preparation for the release of his EP later this month.

I’ve seen the video several times (maybe you have too), but watching it again got me again.

The God of the Bible is the only God on record that allows for chance after chance after chance. And when that story is told, people get fired up, no matter how many times they have heard it before. Danny and Carlos reminded me of that today, and got me all kinds of fired up about our services tomorrow.

Here’s to new beginnings…..Happy New Year
