Pleasure on Purpose

The month is here when church attendance goes up, spending goes down, and gyms are packed. Everyone vows to lose ten pounds, balance their checkbooks, and get right with God in January.

As I was thinking about what resolution I would make for the year, I ran across this old clip that still gives me goosebumps

This morning, I got a text from a Lead Pastor we recently placed, thanking us for the work we had done. It totally made my day. When I get to help connect the right person with the right opportunity, I feel His pleasure. When I get the chance to speak at Cypress Creek, I feel His pleasure.

Then the clip and my reflections led me to a thought:

When you find and live out your purpose, you will feel His pleasure.

As you think about a resolution for the year, how about thinking through this lens? What causes you to feel His pleasure? How could you focus more energy on and show improvement in that area? Narrow your focus to that purpose, and watch Him fill you with divine pleasure.

Thanks Will. I have to say that were it not for my New Year’s resolution for shorter blogposts, I would have gone into a clarity evangelism moment. You’ve really helped me gain clarity on my purpose….thanks…. and for anyone else reading this thread, go to http://willmancini.com for some clarity mojo.
